More down hearted than I imagined
over the political affiliations of people
I share history and experience with, felt
earlier that maybe I needed a night out
to blow off steam, but now just staying
put after steak and shrimp at the Texas Cajun.
But then I return to thinking of someone I
felt so close to - I ignored her politics and
she never challenged mine. If we had continued
together, what would it be like now?
