My son has played Ultimate (Frisbee) for something like 10 years. His team is on the path to the national championships now in his fourth college season. Today a regional tournament was held at his university close enough for me to attend. They played and won all three games throughout the course of the day. That's a lot of sprinting and leaping around. That's also a long time for a pasty white Dad to sit in a camp chair without a hat or any form of sun protection. And so my son goes home tonight victorious and I go home looking like someone spray-painted me fire engine red from my collar to my hairline and from my elbows on down. It's become a tradition.
